Hey church! 👋

Over the last 2 months we've seen the fruit of focusing our prayers on one given subject. It's been powerful. Last month for our Day of Prayer we focused on missions and evangelism. This month I would like to focus on fulfilling our vision and purpose as a church, which is to lead people to understand the Bible and become fully devoted to jesus. Below are recommended points to pray over.

Prayer Points for Today:

Praying for understanding in God's Word and for it to bear fruit in your lives individually and all of our lives as church fellowship.

Scripture: Proverbs 2:2-5 — "So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding,If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God."

Prayer Points:

1. For a soft heart that is ready to receive the Word on good soil! (see Matthew 13)
2. To go beyond knowing the Bible intellectualy into understanding it as an experience for our everyday lives.
3. To have ears to hear when the Word is being taught.
4. For the Holy Spirit to lodge the truth of the Word uniquely and intimately into our hearts and minds.
5. To have the strength and disciplines to read the Word daily
6. To become hungry and thirsty for truth of the Word more than anything else
7. To become excited about the Word, and become contagious in that excitement.
8. To be able to retain the Word of God, and remember the truths you're learning
9. To better see Jesus in all of the Word, and become more like Him in your understanding.
10. To remain teachable, humble, and moldable so that God's Word can have most effect in our lives.
