outreach and missions

thailand orphanage & church planting

Living Waters Fellowship has partnered with Living Word Ministries International (LWMI), a Christian nonprofit that has been serving communities in Thailand since 1986. They work to train national Christian leaders, help children through education and healthcare programs, and feed 700 people daily through their self-sufficient food production project. A core part of their mission is evangelism and church planting, with a goal of establishing 1000 churches across Thailand. The organization was founded after the directors rescued abandoned twin boys in 1989. Today they run various development initiatives including job training, housing for widows, clean water access, sanitation, and hygiene programs.

sponsoring orphans

four children & growing

As a fellowship, we are currently sponsoring 4 children through LWMI, with the heart to grow our support for this ministry every year, which will including sponsoring more children and indigenous pastors for church planting in Thailand.

children's home

Abundant Life Children’s Home is a loving, caring, safe place where children can grow, develop and learn about Christ. Children who previously had no hope enjoy a positive environment where dreams and visions come alive.

2025 missions trip

We not only want to grow out support for this ministry year by year, but we also want to get out there ourselves to see what God is doing. A short-term mission trip to Thailand is planned for August 2025.

the vision
of LWMI

The vision of Living Word Ministries International is accomplished through five strategies:

1. Abundant Life Children’s Home: This facet of the ministry has been developed to minister to orphans and at-risk children. The children’s homes are full care resident homes where the children live until they finish their education and enter the job market or continue in ministry training.

2. Bible School: A full 2 and 4 year bible-training program. Students live on campus and participate in a program of intense bible training along with practical experience.

3. Evangelism – Church Planting: LWMI has been averaging 15-18 church plants per year. To date over 220 churches have been built and dedicated. A team of dedicated evangelist/church planters and multiple church building crews are currently at work.

4. Leadership Training: LWMI has ministered to over 2500 ministers throughout the nation of Thailand.

5. Social Impact: Disaster Relief, Care and Education for Refugees, Social and Occupational Development Projects help us establish strong ties with government officials and make major impact in communities.

faqS

what happens when i sign up my child?

Signing up your child is free, but not required. It simply helps us prepare all of your Treasure Seekers resources for your children and you. Upon signing up, your family will receive "The Biggest Story Bible" to use at home, and your children will receive their own "Treasure Map" and a card binder to hold their "Treasure Cards."

What happens during a typical Sunday for Treasure Seekers?

Every Sunday, Treasure Seekers starts with the call to adventure. Our mantra is: "What is our Treasure?! (Kids shout: THE BIBLE!) Who is our King? (Kids shout: JESUS!)" We then settle into a 20-minute lesson that includes a video from “The Biggest Story,” a teaching from one of our "Treasure Guides" (Children Worker), and the distribution of "Treasure Cards" and Gems. Children stay with their parents during the sermon, equipped with activity sheets, and can visit the Treasure Seekers Cave for quiet activities.

am i involved as a parent in the Treasure Seekers Ministry?

Absolutely! We believe what we do on Sunday's should reenforce your discipleship efforts at home, not the other way around. You are the most crucial part of your child's discipleship in Christ. We count on parental involvement. Upon enrolilng your child, we provide resources like 'The Biggest Story Bible' for your family to enjoy, along with weekly exercises to help you disciple your children at home.

How does the Memory Verse System work?

Our Memory Verse System is a fun and rewarding way for children to learn Scripture. As they memorize verses, they earn stamps in their Treasure Seeker Booklet. Collecting stamps helps them progress through different themed levels, from Adventurer to Treasure Master, and explore new worlds like "The Land of Beginnings" and "The Land of Slings and Stones."

What age group is the Treasure Seekers Ministry for?

The Treasure Seekers Ministry is designed for all children through age 12. We tailor our activities and lessons to be engaging and appropriate for this entire age group.

How do you ensure the security of children in the Treasure Seekers Ministry?

At Living Waters Fellowship, the safety of your children is our utmost priority. In the Treasure Seekers Ministry, we maintain an open environment where parents can always see their children during service, as we do not segregate them from the main service area. All our "Treasure Guides" (ministry workers) are personally vetted by Pastor Greg and the Elders. They have undergone extensive background checks to ensure they are trustworthy and capable. Moreover, each Treasure Guide is chosen for their genuine heart for children's ministry, ensuring that your child is not only safe but also nurtured in a loving, Christ-like environment.
