Read Psalm 98

‌“The LORD has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.” (Psalm 98:2)

Dear Beloved, what a glorious declaration by the Psalmist! God’s salvation is known to all nations — and even more — it is revealed plainly in their sight. God has never left Himself without a witness. He has declared His righteousness from the first breath of Adam and will declare it to the last sunset of creation.

How has God declared His salvation and righteousness? Through all the wonders of creation! (see Romans 1:20; Psalm 19:1-2)

“But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; And the birds of the air, and they will tell you; Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; And the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?” (Job 12:7–10)

Again, how has God declared His salvation and righteousness? By all the graces in life! (see Matthew 5:45; Psalm 65:9-13; 104:14-15)

“[God] did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” (Acts 14:17)

Yet again, how has God declared His salvation and righteousness? Through His elect nation, the people of Israel! (see Isaiah 44:8)

‌“You are My witnesses,” says the LORD, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.” (Isaiah 43:10)

Yet once more, how has God declared His salvation and righteousness? Through His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ! (see 1 Peter 1:20-21)

“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son...” (Hebrews 1:1–2)

Indeed, God has declared His majesty in numerous ways — more ways than we can count. How can any man not see the great pursuit of God for him? God did not even spare Himself, but became flesh and dwelt among us in order to reconcile us to God. How wonderful is our God!

Beloved, considering these divine realities, we must hold at least three profound beliefs about our Almighty God. First, there is no doubt that His desire for every man is to acknowledge Him as our Creator. Secondly, that He offers His salvation not merely to a select few, but to all mankind. And lastly, He is undeniably deserving of our utmost glory, honor and praise!

“Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!” (Psalm 150:6)

Undoubtedly, this one of the most beautiful psalms ever penned by David. It is a psalm which highlights both the frailty of mankind and the strength of the Almighty. It is full of the most wonderful theology about God.

“So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai…” — Esther 7:10 (NKJV) This verse is the most ironic and satisfying event in the Book of Esther — perhaps even in the entire Word of God...
