Beloved, what wonderful words are these! This promise is for all who are in Christ. It is the epitome of the good news, the Gospel. No condemnation! No doom and gloom in Jesus!
My heart breaks for how many Christians live in shame and guilt before the Lord. They cannot move forward because they are weighed down by their past, or by fear of making mistakes in the future. But this must not be! We must take the promise of the cross to its fullest application in our lives, and that means trusting that "there is no condemnation" as a child of God. I tell you, if Satan cannot keep you out of heaven, he will keep you out of Romans 8:1.
But you can be sure this is a clear and steadfast promise. It cannot be broken, for it has a foundation as big as God Himself, for He is the underpinning of every word.
Therefore, Beloved, let these words rest upon your soul today. Let them be the melody of your life song. Read them daily. Wake up in the morning with the joy of knowing that before God you are not condemned, nor ever will be.
You must trust Christ’s complete atonement for you. For in this, you will be able to walk free and liberated from guilt and shame. You will furthermore be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live an abundant life full of joy and peace.
