If God’s grace were an ocean, our sin would be but a grain of sand! My sin is great, but God’s grace is greater still. God’s favor and kindness toward us will always abound over our sin, as Paul says, and will reign in our lives through the salvation provided us in Christ. Praise God! This is the greatest news of the good news!
Our first champion, Adam, ushered in sin and death in utter failure, but our second champion, Christ, ushered in grace and resurrection life in triumphant victory. If death became king under Adam, then grace retook the throne of the redeemed under Christ. Grace is king in Christ!
This shows the superiority of Christ, and the superiority of grace, which is offered to us. You cannot out-sin the grace of God. God’s grace abounds! In fact, God’s grace does not just abound, it super-abounds!
The word abound used here by Paul means to have too much of something or to have an excess. Even more, Paul adds his own prefix to this word which means super or beyond.
Do you know what this means, Beloved? God not only has too much grace for you, but He has a super-abundance of too much grace for you! Where your sin is too much, God's grace is too much more! You can heap up all of your sins in one mountainous pile, and yet God's grace will heap above it!
Dear friend, can you see that God's grace has won? Your life is now in control of the authority and dominion of His grace. Hear that! You are under new leadership, a new kingdom, a new paradigm of existence. Grace changes everything.
Therefore, let God’s grace reign freely in you and through you. Live forgiven by God and favored by the Almighty, for you were born again into His grace.

This verse by the wise king Solomon serves as both a warning and a comfort. To those who practice evil, it is a warning. But to those who fear God, it is a comfort.
